Framed in a Vic Ash with hanging wire. Measuring 33.5cm x 31.5cm x 6cm.
Machine knitted using wool, silk, cotton, linen and other miscellaneous yarns. These yarns have been either naturally dyed, sourced from mill end or dead stock, locally sourced or acquired second hand.
Shale and Silt are a part of the forthcoming Formation series and were exhibited in a group show at Off The Kerb Gallery in May 2021. This series explores the shape and formations of sedimentary rocks and minerals and their interactions with the environment as a method of documentation and recording of changes over time.
